Meet with GMP’ 10

29 04 2009

Yesterday, I met a few new members of my GMP family.  They have been admitted to XLRI – GMP class of 2010 and were all so apprehensive about the course, the facilities, the professors and placements.

It was great to interact and resolve their apprehensions. GMP is a one year MBA but it teaches you much more than just business. This year has been special as this one year also taught me to enjoy the light at the end of each night. A true leader is a person who knows that every night ends with day full of light.

My one line advice to everyone who’s entering an MBA – An MBA is an investment for life and not just a one shot game. Be true to yourself and have realistic expectations…

Desparate for the Degree?

29 04 2009

Just 10 days to go for my convocation and I am getting nostalgic about the year that I spent at XL. The year full of masti, those late nights at Bisuda… breaks at Dadoos and how can I forget the last minute rush for morning breakfast!

Innumerable assignments, year full of quizes, palpable projects :) and Prabhu hall end terms… Those birthday parties and nightlong slogs and fights on trivial issues. It was all pure FUN!

The year has just flown and I could hardly notice.

On 9th May, I would be awarded the degree and I will officially be bestowed with the title – MANAGER :) . Am I desparate for the degree? I don’t think so… I just want this student phase of life to continue till as long as it can..

My own $100 – WIANSYS

10 04 2009

Wiansys has been taking baby steps and reached its first milestone. I would like to share the initial success of my dream – WIANSYS with each one of you. Last week, we have achieved a gross profit of $100!

The last two months have been an eventful journey… from the day this idea struck our minds, to this day of our first success! We have seen a lot of ups and downs but the spirit has never died. The spirit to fight the odds and celebrate every little bit of success. All our friends, and their encouraging words with inspiring ideas have helped us sail through these rough but enjoyable times.

I, on behalf of the WIANSYS team, welcome your ideas and suggestions for our entrepreneurial journey. We look forward to your support in any way that you can..be it word of mouth, writing on your blog(s), telling your friends and family or buying our products :)
