Admitted for Texas A&M – Mays MBA class of 2010!

15 04 2008

I am accepted for the Mays MBA program at Texas A&M University and BOY oh BOY! I am delighted!… It has taken long.. but all’s well when it ends(?) well…

I am not thinking about the confusion this admit may cause to my GMP (@ XLRI) plans… but it surely gives me a lot to do (discuss, think, decide) during the next 4-5 days 🙂

BTW, here’s the mail

Dear R,

I’m writing today to let you know that you have been accepted into the MBA Program at the Mays Business School!

You will be receiving an official email as well as an official admissions letter via surface mail. Those will be going out in the next few days. Also, all admitted students are considered for scholarship and our next round of awards should be decided in the next week or two.

Update 16th April – Awarded a $4500 scholarship and a resident tution status for MBA at Texas A&M … I have written to the adcom asking them to reconsider my scholarship decision… Yeh dil mange more 🙂

Accepting comments and suggestions (XL vs. TAMU)

Now comes the decision making time. I had anticipated this! I will not comment on what you should choose as I know very little of both the univs, though I have applied to Mays.
Right now, even I am facing this issue – deciding between USC (Marshall, 50% tution waiver) and Georgia Tech (full tution waiver). It can be really confusing. Best of luck and keep us posted!

Congratulations !

I am in a similar situation.

I’ve been accepted at Rice (50% waiver) and now contemplating between Rice and GMP.

Good luck !

Hey R..
I received a reject from TAMU Mays MBA Program. In fact the result was out on 1st April but I checked it just today. Talk about being casual! Congrats for ur admit once again – I can testify it was very competitive.
